MEMZ_Clean

MEMZ_Clean is a Windows 11 program built to look and behave like the classic MEMZ Trojan, but without destroying the computer. It does not overwrite the boot sector, crash the system on purpose, force a shutdown, write persistence keys, or wipe files. What it does instead is scare the user and wreck the desktop visually.

The first thing it does is open Notepad once, in a normal window, with a warning note. That note says the computer has been fucked by the MEMZ Trojan, that it will not boot again, and that trying to kill MEMZ will destroy the system instantly. The first line is in full capitals. The rest stays in normal sentence case. Notepad only opens that one time. Later random app launches cannot open it again, and the window-text flipping effect is blocked from reversing the warning so it stays readable.

After the note appears, the program starts five watchdog copies plus one main copy. The watchdogs sit in the background and watch for anyone killing MEMZ. If a copy disappears, they retaliate with a flood of fullscreen MEMZ popups using the original insult messages. Trying to close the hidden control window does the same thing.

The main payload then starts the original ten effects on their original timers. Random websites and Windows apps start opening. The mouse begins to jitter. Fake keystrokes get typed. System error sounds play. The whole screen inverts. Normal-sized “Still using this computer?” boxes appear. Icons rain across the desktop. Other windows have their text flipped backwards. The screen stretches inward. Random rectangles get scrambled across the full display.

The visual effects and the kill-MEMZ popups take over the whole screen. The “Still using this computer?” boxes stay normal size. The program is meant to look like the machine is already dead and that fighting it only makes it worse, while leaving the actual system intact enough to keep running.
